M. Müller & Sohn Magazine 06.2022
Professional Magazine for Fashion and Pattern Making// 59° Venice Art Biennale // Tennis & cycling clothes // Manufactory Schmidt & Schallmey // Basic trouser blocks // The linen of the eastDeutsch
The magazine specialized in fashion and pattern making is published ten times a year as a turnaround edition with topics on women’s and men’s fashion. The magazine is available for download in English. Each issue of M. Müller & Sohn magazine contains an enclosed sewing pattern.
On the women’s fashion pages, we embrace the summer spirit with sports activities in the open air like tennis and cycling, and we developed two models with the perfect fit in the pattern technique section. The right fit is also the be-all and end-all when it comes to bras – Daniela Paradies, who runs her own lingerie factory in Vienna and who we already introduced in a portrait, lets us look over her shoulder as she makes an underwired bra. Fashion illustrator Volker Feyerabend gives us expert tips on how to create a fashion figure. As inspiration for the coming weeks and all your planned projects, take a look at our sporty designer looks that play the whole field and let us take you to the Venice Art Biennale, one of the most important contemporary art exhibitions in the world. Enjoy all those new impulses the summer has in store for you!
On the men’s fashion pages, we show sleeveless jackets and coats that are currently particularly trendy in view of the summer temperatures. We have compiled a list of versatile interpretations of summer sleevelessness for you. The bespoke manufacturer Schmidt & Schallmey from the Main metropolis Frankfurt offers the highest quality tailoring for men, from classic to extravagant; they describe their style as English elegance combined with Neapolitan lightness. In the knowledge section we look at ramie, a special natural fibre that is often used in summer fashion. And we learn about the properties of so-called Chinese grass, what it has to do with mummies and why Yoshi Yamamoto has a very special relationship with the fibre. Since no two bodies are alike, we show four different basic trouser cuts for customers with deviations from the normal sizes in the pattern technique.
The enclosed pattern contains two blouses with knitted cuffs for women (in European sizes 36 – 50).
This issue contains 60 pages.
