M. Müller & Sohn Magazine 12.2022
Professional Magazine for Fashion and Pattern Making // Bugaric // Lapel collar // Beret // Kniže // Linnen weaving mill VieböckDeutsch
The magazine specialized in fashion and pattern making is published ten times a year as a turnaround edition with topics on women’s and men’s fashion. The magazine is available for download in English. Each issue of M. Müller & Sohn magazine contains an enclosed sewing pattern.
On the women’s fashion pages we provide you with cutting and processing instructions for the beret, spiced up with anecdotes and knowledge about the »béret basque«. You can also get away from the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle with our seven clever variations on the lapel collar. And in Designer Look section we show you fresh interpretations of embroidered, crocheted and knotted items. Goran Bugaric tells us about his career, how he went from being a ladies’ tailor to one of Vienna’s most sought-after designers, received an invitation to the New York Fashion Week and what his grandmother has to do with it. For Christmas anticipation, we recommend the Advent raffles on our Instagram and Facebook accounts. With a bit of luck, there are books, patterns and other great prizes waiting for you!
On the men’s fashion pages, we portray Rudolf Niedersüß, who knows more about festive men’s outfits than anyone else and runs the traditional Kniže house in Vienna, which has been in business since 1858. In our processing section, you’ll find instructions on how to tie it correctly, the right fabrics for making it and a cut for a special festive accessory that is worn on special occasions and is an alternative to the tie: the bow tie. The interview is also about a noble fabric: Johann Kobler, who runs the Vieböck linen weaving mill in the Austrian Mühlviertel, gives us exciting insights into the world of his traditional craft. With this end-of-year issue, we say goodbye for 2022 and thank you, our readers, for your trust. We are already looking forward to beautiful prospects in January 2023, when we will start our school for fashion and pattern technology
at the new location in Hamburg and look forward to welcoming the first students there!
