On the women’s fashion pages we show the current Active Wear trends. Fitness and health are becoming more and more of a lifestyle – the right sportswear is more en vogue than ever and is styled for everyday use after sport. In the women’s patternmaking section you will find matching instructions for the pattern construction of sporty gymnastic leggings and short running shorts as well as matching tops: a raglan T-shirt, a top with high hood and drawstring waist and a long-sleeved shirt with thumb opening. Then we have compiled an overview of the structure and systems of knitted fabrics that ensure adaptability and freedom of movement in the area of Active Wear, among other things. In the interview »Unfolded Universe«, Berlin based designer Jule Waibel talks about how she has made pleats her trademark and now uses function and aesthetics to give different materials special forms. Speaking of Uniqueness: so are the buttons, glass beads and gemstones of the Seibert glass manufactory, which have been handmade there for almost 100 years.
The Designer Looks for men show the coat trends for the coming autumn/winter season. In many fresh facets, the classic coat sets new accents this season: from the modern uniform look to nostalgic Seventies models to ultra-modern high-tech athleisure and utility coats, the fashionable autumn appearance is guaranteed. Inspired by this, our patternmaking section contains three detailed and sophisticated coats for men based on a basic trench coat block. The knowledge and processing part revolves around the inner values: for perfect men’s tailored clothing, the inner life plays an important role. We therefore summarise the special features of various linings for you and show where they can be obtained. In addition, Berlin based men’s tailor Manuela Leis will demonstrate the processing of a sleeve vent. In our portrait Rolf Pleuger talks about his cloth trade he has been running since 1962 and comments on the developments in modern men’s fashion.
The enclosed pattern contains two jersey coats for men (in sizes 44 – 58).
