The magazine specialized in fashion and pattern making is published six times a year as a turnaround edition with topics on women’s and men’s fashion. The magazine is available for download in English. Each issue of M. Müller & Sohn magazine contains an enclosed sewing pattern.
On the designer look pages of women’s fashion, we show power dressing suits for women under the motto Business Core. Afterwards we present the slow-luxury suits by Agnes Nordenholz and Agnes Schorer, founder and owner of the label. The following article is about CAD in bespoke tailoring. We have asked voices from the industry about their point of view and analysed them in a random sample, the importance of CAD in the bespoke tailoring trade.
In the pattern technique, we focus on winter skirts and blouses. We show the pattern developments for four narrow midi skirts and two elegant, high-necked blouses. Detailed sewing instructions for different types of loop fastening can be found from page 32 onwards.
On the menswear designer look pages, we look at the latest trousers in detail. We will report on the Trofeo Arbiter tailoring competition in Milan afterwards. This year, international participants were invited for the first time. You can read exclusively here who faced the judges, how it went and who won in the end.
In the pattern technique, we present two classics of men’s fashion: the Hubertus coat and two sweatshirts. Is the bespoke tailoring trade fit for the future? Master tailor, business economist and Master Professional Emma Walter has asked herself this question. Because the state of the bespoke tailoring trade is a cause for concern. In her almost 70-page research paper, Emma Walter developed strategies and solutions on how bespoke tailoring can realise its potential in order to compete with the fashion industry. You can read about the key aspects of this from page 24 onwards. Finally, you will find a report on the 67th Federal Congress of the Bespoke Tailoring Trade in Erlangen in this issue.
The enclosed pattern contains a three piece suit for women in sizes 36 to 50.
