M. Müller & Sohn Magazine 09-10.2024
Professional Magazine for Fashion and Pattern Making //Women´s Pattern Technique: Historical Pattern: Empire // Men´s Pattern Technique: Classic Coats: Paletot& Ulster// Chef´s clothing pattern for womenDeutsch
On the Designer Look pages of women’s fashion, we focus on the topic of lace. We showcase various techniques and forms of expression for this traditional craft.
For our portrait section, we gain insights from Lea Baltner into her daily work and the special niche she has found: historical clothing for role-playing games. Following this is an interview with Verena Grabher about the world-famous embroidery company HOH Hoferhecht from Austria, giving us insight into the processes behind the scenes of the company. In the pattern-making section, we take a journey into the Empire era. Typical garments are constructed: two dresses, an Empire coat with a lapel collar, and a Spencer jacket. On page 31, we highlight our corset seminar with Barbara Pesendorfer. We then move on to a striking Renaissance accessory in the processing section. Step by step, we show how a ruff is made.
The Pantone Color of the Year 2024, Peach Fuzz, is the focus of attention on the Designer Look pages of men’s fashion, as we explore how this color palette plays out in different product groups. Our report on the Munich Fabric Start trade fair covers future colors, as well as broader trend themes. We summarize the key topics for the 25/26 season. In the pattern-making section, we feature two classic coats, the Paletot and the Ulster. To complement this, we refresh our knowledge of coats with a brief overview of classic men’s coats in the knowledge section. Under the “Industry and Craft” section, we explore the topic of the master craftsman’s certificate and have asked young master craftsmen and women for their opinions. On page 28, you will find valuable information about our subsidized seminar offerings. This issue is rounded off with product, reading, and cultural recommendations from the editorial team.
The attached pattern includes chef’s clothing for women, consisting of a chef’s jacket, blouse, pants, and an apron in sizes 36 to 50.
This issue comprises 68 pages.
