Pattern Making for Women: Plus Size Bermudas

When developing ready-to-wear patterns, the proportions change with larger sizes. The difference between waist and hips becomes smaller and the figure thus straighter. We explain in this e-dossier at which construction points this is addressed to achieve a good fit. We show three summery styles: including a rather plain business trousers, a sporty cargo shorts and a variation on the classic jeans shorts with a hem turn-up and pleat detail.
