Basic Justaucorps Block                                                                                              

Habit de Ville (City Suit) around 1790:

• Closed with two buttons
• Seven additional decorative buttons on the front edge
• Edge opens to the hem
• Wide stand-up collar
• Back with Vienna seam
• Back shoulder seam
• Curved pocket flaps with decorative buttons
• Open slit in centre back
• Lap pleats with concealed buttons inside
• Sleeve with attached cuff with three buttons
• Optional lightly aligned sleeve cap

Basic Gilet Block

Gilet aroud 1750:

• Without collar
• With ten buttons at the edge
• Edge opens to hem
• Lateral slit
• Shortened back
• Back shoulder seam
• Tie band at back waist
• Open slit in centre back
• Curved pocket flaps

Basic Breeches Block

Breeches around 1790:

• Bib with side panel
• Bib closed with three buttons
• Waistband with lacing at centre back
• Side hem slit with buttons
• Knee cuffs button fastening
