Pattern Making T-Shirts and Tops for Men

In this e-dossier you find instructions on how to construct three basic pattern blocks and one modified pattern for t-shirts and tops for men.

We show three basic shirt blocks: the classic T-shirt, a slim-fit T-shirt and a tight top.  T-shirt fabrics are mostly made of pure cotton or a cotton blend (CO/ PES) without elastane content. For tight shirts and tops, a synthetic fibre  is recommended, usually polyamide with an elastane content. These highly elastic fabrics, which are used in sportswear, have been increasingly finding their way into leisure fashion for some time.
